We are a very active group that chartered in 2005 and meets in Plainfield, IL. Our members come from various educational and professional backgrounds from high school graduates to PhD’s. From skilled tradesmen, to teachers, managers, firemen, engineers, business owners and parents. While we are all different, all of us have two things in common: we are dedicated to improving our communication and leadership skills, and we are dedicated to helping you improve yours. Oh, and we all like to laugh.  Every member who joins our club comes from the same place – afraid to speak up and let themselves be heard. In a short time, you will gain the confidence to effectively express yourself in any situation.

At Confident Communicators, we are committed to learning and developing ourselves. Every meeting is structured and purposeful. Members can take on roles and lead certain parts of the meeting. There are prepared speeches that get evaluated so members can learn. There are impromptu speaking exercises where members learn to think and speak “off the cuff.” While we take care of our serious business of learning and developing, there are plenty of opportunities to have fun and laugh at each meeting.  Sometimes we have pot-luck dinners, outside events, off-site dinner meetings.

While we do a great job of planning our meetings, sometimes things don’t go as planned. Thanks to Toastmasters, we learn to adapt, improvise and overcome obstacles. A valued skill in the workplace. You will get a safe, supportive and positive place to learn and grow. A place where it is okay to make mistakes and fumble because that is how

While we do a great job of planning our meetings, sometimes things don’t go as planned. Thanks to Toastmasters, we learn to adapt, improvise and overcome obstacles. A valued skill in the workplace. You will get a safe, supportive and positive place to learn and grow. A place where it is okay to make mistakes and fumble because that is how we all learn. You will get every opportunity you need to improve as long as you participate because at Toastmasters, we learn by doing. Most importantly, as a member of our club, you will see a remarkable increase in your self-confidence. And with that, you can do anything.
